SCHOOL PROFILE

     DKI Jakarta PKP Senior High School was established in 1988. In December 10, 2007 it was accredited with the rating of A. It was able to maintain the quality of the teaching institution so in the accreditation on November 19, 2016 it maintained the rating of A.

       Occupying an area of ​​3000 meters, within an 18 hectare campus environment, PKP Senior High School is very comfortable to study at. In addition, there are plenty of self-development activities. The campus environment is very supportive in facilitating the needs of students. Some of the advantages are outdoor facilities that are sufficient to support the development of non-academic activities including: football court, wall climbing, volleyball court, basketball court and jogging track. Besides that, access to transportation to the Kelapa Dua Wetan area is very easy and affordable.

      

       The school is ISO accredited and has retained ISO 9001: 2015 certificate. It has high score during the national examinations. It is currently using the 2013 school curriculum. It advocates the development of literacy culture through programs that are integrated with academic and non-academic activities. Example, students must read 1 book a month and make a synopsis at least thrice a year.

   To provide quality education to students, PKP SMA has the following support systems (see picture on the left).

   Self-development is an activity that aims to provide opportunities for students to develop and express themselves according to their needs, talents, interests, each student in accordance with school conditions. Self-development activities are facilitated and / or guided by counselors, teachers, or educational staff that can be carried out in the form of extracurricular activities.

Extracurricular activities:

TEACHING SYSTEM

                The teaching responsibilities are divided between the administration and the teachers. The teachers are responsible for the lesson planning, lectures and examinations. The system is very structured and organized from the conceptualization to the actual teaching process and to the assessment.

The teachers are all very professional and follows a code of conduct when facilitating the classroom activities. The teachers play a major role in realizing the schools Vision and Mission.

       The learning materials are based on the 2013 curriculum. The teachers also utilize the internet for appropriate teaching materials.

    The curriculum structure of DKI Jakarta PKP High School includes the substance of learning taken in one level of education for three years starting in class X up to class XII.

 

      The curriculum structure is prepared based on graduate competency standards and subject competency standards. Organizing classes at PKP Jakarta High School consists of: classes X, XI and XII are specialization programs. DKI Jakarta PKP High School opens two specialization options for classes X, XI and XII which consist of two programs, namely:

a. Mathematics and Natural Sciences Program (MIPA);

b. Social Sciences Program (IPS);

RPP

There are similarities and differences between the Lesson plan of Indonesian Teachers and our lesson plan. One of them is that we do the lesson plan for each topic per subject per day. In the RPP (this is what they call the lesson plan in Indonesia) their lesson plan is for several weeks so it has a lot of details all rolled into one
